What we offer?

We are here to help you live a life free from violence and abuse.  We understand that survivors from marginalised groups and ethnically diverse communities can face many different barriers, and we take these into consideration, providing additional support to enable them to reach social and economic independence, and move towards a safer life.

We have dedicated bi-lingual support workers who offer tailored support to overcome language and culture barriers.

We offer

  • 1-1 support via phone, text or online channel
  • Group sessions
  • Digital skills
  • ESOL Classes
  • Emergency Food parcels
  • Menstrual Hygiene supplies
  • Well-being activity packs
  • Devices, Data or WIFI provision
  • Sign posting to specialist domestic abuse or mental health services

Referrals are accepted by self-referral, Northumberland County Council, Social prescribers, GP Services, Northumbria Police, Northumbria HealthCare Services and other professionals.

Our aim is to

  • give you a safe time and space to talk to someone who won't judge you
  • help you make sense of things anf understand yourself better
  • help you resolve complicated feelings, or find ways to cope with them
  • help you recognise unhelpful patterns in the way you think or act, and find ways to change them (if you want to)

Our model of work

We use a 4-step process to offer support when working with victims and survivors of abuse and those who are struggling with intense and difficult emotions.

  1. R  Recognize what is happening
  2. A  Allow life to be just as it is
  3. I  Investigate inner experience
  4. N  Non-Identification
